I dug myself into a hole a bit with the Hitler mention, so I’m just going to say that if you won’t even bother reading my reply then there’s no point in arguing.

And I wasn’t saying that she deserved to be killed by supernatural beasts, I’m saying that she deserved to be taken back to Gotham and tried for her crime, Diana could’ve simply accompanied them to Gotham and protected her from the supernatural beasts while on the way.

I think Batman’s flaws are what make him a good character, flawlessness is the reason I hate Superman. I just think this chick’s criticisms aren’t legitimate. Batman is often overconfident, he let his entire life get consumed by a quest for revenge, and sure, he can be a total dick. But in the incarnations I’ve seen him in, he isn’t overly self righteous, he’s stoic and serious.

Batman seems far more concerned with the care of Gotham than he does about himself, as seen in the scene of The Dark Knight when Alfred is bandaging him up after Bruce was messed up kinda bad.

Though if that view is “wrong and dumb” I’d love to hear your take on his character.

I mentioned that comics have shitty continuity because the way you generalized Batman when only mentioning one appearance wasn’t a valid criticism, and the shittiness of the continuity is the reason for that. You being female had nothing to do with it, and the fact that you even mentioned that it might is a clear attempt for you to get pity from other people reading this. The way you explained this comic in your original post is, “A girl is being pursued be some nasty supernatural shit … she committed a crime in Gotham” Basically what you’re insinuating is that this girl should get away with whatever crime she may have committed, simply because she’s being pursued by supernatural shit. A lot of people wanted to kill/were pursuing Hitler, does that mean he should’ve been exonerated?

And if anyone’s earned the right to act like a self-righteous dick, it’s Bruce Wayne. His parents were murdered in front of him, and instead of moping around like a whinny bitch for the rest of his life like most people would do, he went on a pilgrimage through the Himalayas, mastered a few fighting styles, then came back to his home city and went on to save COUNTLESS lives, while nearly dying every day at the same time.

Wonder Woman was born with near-godlike powers and just decided to come help out humanity and use them for good. Not to mention the fact that all of this is at virtually no risk to her because she’s basically invulnerable.

Toward the end of the “Emperor Joker” arc, we learned that Joker had been using his godlike powers to torture Batman to death every night, then bring him back to life so that he could do it all over again tomorrow night, and so forth. I don’t think we ever got an exact count, but it appeared it must have happened dozens of times.
